D/S POLO is market proven Port Community and Port Management system. Polo is in use in over 30 ports and several other maritime organizations having roughly 1500 users in over 200 organizations
Polo has been developed in close co-operation with maritime authorities and professionals. Main customers are port authorities, but utilization of POLO is increasing among other organizations, companies, and governmental organizations. Below some of the POLO partners and customers.
Port of Gävle, Sweden
Port of Gävle was one of the pilot ports developing the first version of POLO and has been active user ever since. Gävle is using POLO for berth planning, Just-In-Time planning (Time Slot Gävle), and in general to create a common platform for sharing data for all key stakeholders in port.
Handling around 5-6 mln TN of cargo each year, on the east coast Port of Gävle is one of top 10 Swedish ports, and thanks to 200,000 TEU handled yearly the no. 1 container harbor in the region and Sweden’s no. 3 overall.
Port of Kokkola, Finland
Port of Kokkola is one of the most active POLO ports in terms of usage and new development. Kokkola was leading partner for Berth Planning Tool. Kokkola is using Polo actively for Berth Planning, crane bookings, Service Orders and increasing the efficiency of the port and improving the co-operation between all stakeholders in the port.
Port of Kokkola is the third largest general port in Finland in terms of traffic volumes, with 4-8 million tonnes of cargo passing through it each year. The Port of Kokkola consists of three different ports handling annually 600-700 vessel visits.
